2008 WINDSOR FESTIVAL
FESTIVAL GALA CONCERT
WATERLOO CHAMBER WINDSOR CASTLE CONCERT
ETON COLLEGE HALL FROM THE CASTLE HOTEL, WINDSOR
26 - 28 SEPTEMBER 2008 (2 nights)

Once again we are delighted to be able to offer the opportunity to attend two superb concerts in the unique and exceptional surroundings of Windsor Castle and Eton College Hall. Staying at the centrally located Castle Hotel Windsor within easy walking distance of all main Festival events. You will become an honorary 'Friend of The Festival' and attend the Festival Gala Night (under the patronage of HRH the Earl of Wessex) it is always a superb musical occasion and we are privileged to be able to offer advance booking opportunities for this special sell-out event which is the climax to the very popular Windsor Festival.

Friday 26 September: Check into the hotel for an early evening reception and pre-concert dinner before the Festival Gala Concert to be held in the Waterloo Chamber of Windsor Castle, this is a black tie event with champagne in St George's Hall. The programme for this Gala Concert is still 'under wraps' and not published until May however there will be a full orchestra and the accompanying programme is sure to be of outstanding quality - our subscribers who were given the opportunity to attend this event for the last two years unanimously felt that it was an extraordinary privilege to attend a concert in this remarkable venue and the whole evening had a very special atmosphere.

Saturday 27 September: You will be free this morning to attend other Festival events, which will be circulated once they have become available in May. We have arranged a guided tour of Eton College in the afternoon. Founded in 1440 by Henry VI, Eton is of the oldest schools in the country and its historic buildings are an integral part of its national heritage. In the evening dinner will be at a suitable time before returning to Eton College Concert Hall, which form part of the Old Music School, for tonight's concert which again is one of the highlights of the Festival week.

Sunday 28 September: check out of the hotel. There are other Festival events you might to attend independently - last year these included the opportunity to attend the Festival Evensong in St George's Chapel, lectures and other concerts - a Festival Programme will be sent to you in advance.

Details of the two concerts will be circulated once full information is available.
