The Windsor Castle Royal Tattoo 2010
Now an International Military Musical Spectacular
Top Price Seats with Dinner in the Members’ Restaurant. Tour of The Royal Landscape, Windsor Great Park, Valley Gardens and Savill Gardens From The Macdonald Berystede Hotel, Ascot

14 – 16 May 2010 (2 nights)

The Windsor Castle Royal Tattoo is back, bigger and more spectacular, a celebration of today's armed forces with music and action and once again raising money to support servicemen and women on operations through the work of The Royal British Legion.   You will enjoy top price covered seats, next to the royal enclosure, for the Saturday evening performance, with three-course dinner and privileged access to the Members’ Enclosure. This event is held in the magnificent private grounds of Windsor Castle, by kind permission of Her Majesty The Queen, who herself has attended the performance on the Saturday for the last two years.  The evening includes a fantastic programme of International military acts, as well as British military and ceremonial displays, massed bands, and over 100 pipes and drums, also enthralling re-enactments of modern day soldiering through arena action displays. On Saturday morning the Crown Estates Superintendent of Parks, Bill Cathcart, will join the coach for a tour of Windsor Great Park with special permission to go through lesser-known areas. Your hotel for two nights is the four-star Macdonald Berystede Hotel ideally located at Ascot.

Friday 14 May

Saturday 15 May:  Morning departure by coach to enjoy the guided tour of the Royal Landscape, Valley Gardens and Savill Garden.  You will hear the history and visit some of the familiar notable features such as the Royal Statues. A short guided walk of The Valley Gardens, where the glorious collection of rhododendrons, azaleas, camellias and magnolias will be at their peak in May, before finishing at Savill Garden with time to enjoy the gardens independently and to purchase an early lunch before returning to the hotel.Depart mid-afternoon for The Windsor Castle Royal Tattoo.  During the day the Royal Windsor Horse Show is taking place and your evening tickets allow late afternoon entry so before dinner there will be time to perhaps visit some of the many exhibitors and trade stands.  At 1900 hrs a three-course dinner will be served in the members’ restaurant (a members bar will be available throughout to purchase drinks) before taking your top price seats in the members stands alongside the Royal Box area in the east stand facing the Castle.  The Tattoo starts at 2030 hrs and you will return by coach to the hotel after the performance.  (Dress Code is smart casual and gentlemen are requested to wear ties and jackets in the members’ restaurant/enclosure)
