The Diamond Jubilee Pageant at Windsor

In the presence of Her Majesty The Queen
Cruise the Thames from Maidenhead to Runnymede
From the Macdonald Berystede Hotel
or Savill Court Hotel, near Ascot

12 – 14 May 2012 (2 nights)

Enjoy this celebration of Her Majesty The Queen’s sixty years of service across six continents.  The Diamond Jubilee Pageant is based on ‘Around the World in 60 days and 90 Minutes’ and it will follow the overseas visits that the Queen has made during her sovereignty.  The acts and displays, theatrically lit beneath the walls of Windsor Castle, will see 400 horses and 700 performers from around the world coming together in a spectacular programme of horsemanship, music and dancing.  Acts are from the Americas, Australasia, India and Pakistan, the Middle East, Africa and Europe.  One of the key events for The Queen's Jubilee, The Pageant will be in the presence of Her Majesty and televised by ITV.  We have secured an allocation of the top price (covered) seats next to the Royal Box for this very special evening.

During the day we have chartered a boat to cruise for three hours down the River Thames from Maidenhead to Runnymede.  Spectacular views of Windsor Castle and Eton College, with lovely scenery and some fascinating riverside houses and great mansions all part of the journey before finally reaching the historic landing stage at Runnymede.  A light lunch with glass of wine will be served and there will be a cash bar on board.

An early evening buffet supper will be served in the hotels before the coach departs for Windsor.  There are two hotel options - the Macdonald Berystede and the Macdonald Savill Court - both 4 star elegant mansions set amidst landscaped gardens and secluded woodland close to Ascot or Windsor Great Park. They both have award winning restaurants and extensive leisure facilities.  Nearest railway stations are Ascot (Berystede) and Egham (Savill Court)
