Tickets for the LATE PERFORMANCE of the FINAL NIGHT of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo - enjoy the spine-tingling sights and sounds of the world-famous Massed Pipes and Drums of the Scottish Regiments. The Tattoo recreates something of the pageantry and ceremonial associated with Scottish history together with awe-inspiring colour and variety from specially invited international displays and bands across the globe.
Staying at the four-star Macdonald Roxburghe Hotel, one of Edinburgh’s most elegant city centre hotels, just a stroll from Princes Street or George Street and within walking distance of the Castle. Designed by the well-known architect Robert Adam, it is situated on Charlotte Square, the part of Edinburgh home to some of the world’s finest Georgian architecture. The hotel has elegant bedrooms, a luxury spa and an award-winning restaurant for fine dining.
Hotels are at a premium during the Edinburgh Festival but we have reservations for the nights of Friday and Saturday on the basis of bed and breakfast only. You may check into the hotel from 1500 hrs on Friday and you are invited for a welcome drink at 1900 hrs hosted by a Scottish Blue Badge Guide who will give you your tickets and provide any advice or information in order that you can enjoy the city on Saturday and Sunday. The tickets are for the 10.30 pm performance of the Tattoo, complete with a fantastic firework display. We always apply for the best available seats in the East Stand these are next to top price and in an excellent viewing position.
You will be free on Saturday to shop and sightsee on your own. Dinner on either night can be taken in the Melrose Restaurant within the hotel or perhaps on the way up to the Castle in one of the many restaurants around the Royal Mile, before taking your seats for the Tattoo, this spectacle climaxes with a wonderful fireworks display in this unforgettable and dramatic setting.
